Calm vs. the Media

December 5, 2015

In these days of violence and hysterical reactions it's important to take a step back and to review how much of our well-being should depend on the media. TV, newspapers and the 'news' on social media are like a hyperventilating patient, constantly on the verge of a heart attack. They have to be like this because subtle news and messages don't get enough attention. An unfortunate side effect is that we get frightened, and when we are afraid we simply don't make good decisions. Personal well-being is always connected with calm, measured and ethical reasoning. This has been true for individuals who face a radical change or when it comes to international matters. Let us give this calm, measured and ethical reasoning a voice for a change.
