Often we feel that we have to adjust our mood and feelings, they are rarely how they should be. So we do or eat or watch or read or think something to get them right. This movement doesn't stop, except in deep sleep. When we're lucky this mental restlessness is fun, when unlucky it's exhausting. But whatever we do - where is the 'material' from, which we use to adjust ourselves? It's mostly from the past, with heavy influences from our culture and more or less self-chosen authorities. And how would our habits or these 'experts' know what is good for us right now? They don't. Our compulsory reactions are largely hit-and-miss. So the restlessness itself - which is actually a dissatisfaction - has to decrease...
